Nintendo looks to change its game plan

Most companies, in the videogame industry and outside, would be delighted to have Nintendo’s problems.

With more than 50m of its Wii console and 100m of the portable DS game players sold to date, the Kyoto-based company is on schedule to dominate this generation of videogaming machines. As a supplier of cheap entertainment, it is also resilient to the recession.
