The room where Antoine LeCoultre first established his watch manufacture in 1833 has now become a shrine to the decades of technological expertise that have gone into making Jaeger-LeCoultre one of the world’s most recognised and respected watch brands. LeCoultre’s garret has been transformed into the centrepiece of a “Galerie du Patrimoine”, or Heritage Gallery, where more than 500 examples of the company’s greatest products are exquisitely displayed for visitors.
There are plenty of Jaeger-LeCoultre enthusiasts who own impressive private collections devoted to the brand, but this is undoubtedly the finest of its type, bar none. Many of the pieces have never been out of the company’s ownership, while others have been bought back at auction or obtained from different sources around the world.
