Hail a taxi anywhere in Berlin and there is a good chance it will belong to Taxi Berlin. Call for a cab and there is a good chance it will be from Taxi Berlin, too. The company, which started in the western sector in 1959 as Taxifunk Berlin, now also operates as Quality Taxi, Wuerfelfunk and City Funk and covers the whole of the German capital.

Taxi Berlin has access to more than 4,100 taxis and chauffeur-driven cars, and handles about 20,000 journeys a day. It is also one of the largest users of wireless PDAs in Germany and, quite possibly, in Europe.
