Alisher Usmanov, the Russian billionaire metals magnate with a 23 per cent stake in Arsenal, yesterday sought to mend fences with the Premier League club by saying he would vote in favour of all resolutions at tomorrow's annual meeting.

None of the resolutions are contentious, but Red & White, Mr Usmanov's Arsenal investment vehicle, decided to issue a statement regarding the AGM in which it also said it supported the board's policy of reinvesting surplus cash flow into the club and not paying dividends.
