Republic Airways'looks beyond provider with twin bids mark a change in course

Republic Airways, the US regional airline which last week moved to buy troubled peers Frontier Airlines and Midwest Airlines, is still in the market for other acquisitions.

"We have interest where we think we can bring value to a particular business model, and we can acquire a revenue stream at a fair price," Bryan Bedford, Republic's chief executive, told the Financial Times. "It just hasn't happened yet."
