SA electricity group set to cut Zimbabwe supply

Zimbabwe, which receives 40 per cent of its electricity from Eskom, the South-African owned power generation group, will almost certainly face power cuts later this year.

South Africa’s troubled neighbour is on a 24-hour rolling contract, and Eskom officials leave little doubt that if supply runs short, Zimbabweans will feel the squeeze before South Africans.
