A US judge on Tuesday freed a video blogger who had been jailed for more than seven months for refusing to turn over a collection of tapes he recorded during a July 2005 demonstration in San Francisco.

Josh Wolf - a 24-year-old blogger, freelance journalist and sometime activist - was jailed by a federal district court on August 1 2006. He served more prison time for refusing a court order than any other journalist in US history.
