‘Little impact’ on Intel from Apple plan

A swap by Apple to Intel inside made headlines as an unexpected switch between opposing computing camps, but chip analysts and semiconductor rivals saw little prospect of a shift in the bottom line on Monday.

Analysts at Piper Jaffray said the win would be prestigious for Intel but would have little impact on their estimates for the company.
