Embattled Bouton faces court charges

Daniel Bouton, Société Générale’s executive chairman, has interrupted an investor roadshow in the US to appear in a French court over accusations of money-laundering.

The roadshow is in support of the French bank’s €5.5bn ($8.1bn) emergency rescue rights issue, designed to repair the hole left in the its balance sheet by its rogue trader scandal.
