Borse left rudderless at crucial moment

The abrupt departure of both the chairman and the chief executive of the Deutsche Borse leaves Europe's largest stock exchange rudderless at a crucial moment in capital markets.

For while the company's leadership was undone by an overly ambitious bid to acquire its competitor, the London Stock Exchange, consolidation among exchanges remains even more firmly on the agenda.
