Atradius, one of the world’s biggest insurers of trade credit, offered a drop of oil to the wheels of the UK economy after it said it would extend more cover to 13,000 businesses following an underwriting review.

The company said small and medium sized enterprises would benefit the most and that the construction and engineering sectors were likely to see the biggest improvement in the amount of cover available.
