Crisis changes companies’ operating model

Nine in 10 of the biggest companies worldwide have seen their operating models change because of the economic crisis, a report will show on Monday , in a sign of how the turmoil of the past 18 months has changed the business world.

Nearly half of the 570 companies from all industries surveyed by Ernst & Young this month said their operating model had changed permanently, while a similar number said there had been a temporary shift.
