Brazil to fight Washington import duties on orange juice

Brazilian orange growers yesterday warned that US consumers would pay more for their daily glass of juice after Washington announced preliminary import duties against Brazil.

“This will further harm an already stagnant market in the US and could actually harm Florida growers,” said Ademerval Garcia, head of the Brazilian citrus industry association (Abecitrus). “It practically makes orange juice exports to the US unviable.”
