Intel enters embedded chips market

Intel has launched an assault on the market for embedded chips, setting its sights on selling relatively high-end processors that will power new kinds of devices.

The world’s biggest chipmaker is searching for new growth outside its core PC business and believes the embedded market is a $10bn opportunity.
