Foster's chief quits as group warns on profits

Foster's, the Australian drinks group, said its chief executive had quit as it unveiled a profits warning and slashed A$1.2bn (US$1.1bn) off the value of its global wine assets.

The announcement of Trevor O'Hoy's departure was accompanied by a "strategic review" of Foster's wine operations, which have traded poorly in the US, the group's most important market.
