Download pirates sunk by convictions

The entertainment industry scored a rare victory yesterday as a Swedish court found four men guilty of promoting copyright infringement by running Pirate Bay, the world's biggest free file-sharing website, and sentenced each to a year in prison.

However, industry observers were sceptical over whether the verdict would have any impact on illegal downloading, arguing that as one site is shut down another two open.
