Johnson aims to prove he is fit for the job

In his first official day as London mayor, Boris Johnson will start work on the biggest unanswered question of his campaign: who will run London?

The new Conservative mayor is expected to spend much of Monday in meetings aimed at confirming some of the appointments to crucial jobs in his administration.
