ANA to increase order for 787s

All Nippon Airways’ shares fell sharply on Wednesday, as the Japanese carrier announced plans to raise Y183bn ($1.9bn) in fresh equity to strengthen its finances and help fund new aircraft purchases.

The airline, the launch customer for Boeing’s delay-plagued 787 Dreamliner long range jet, said it had reached agreement with the US aircraft maker to increase its orders for the aircraft.
