Saudi Arabia has detained 520 people suspected of “involvement in terrorism”, a security spokesman said on Wednesday.

General Mansour al-Turki, interior ministry spokesman, told the Financial Times that 701 people had been arrested during the past six months for alleged terror activities. Of these, 181 had been released.
