Fujitsu considers selling hard-drive unit

Fujitsu is in talks with a number of suitors about a possible sale of its hard-drive business as part of a strategy to exit some of its legacy hardware businesses and focus on higher margin IT services.

Tatsuo Tomita, Fujitsu’s deputy chief executive, told the Financial Times that the company had to review the future of its weaker businesses, but he refused to comment on plans for its hard-drive units.
