Wagon falls into administration

The UK businesses of Wagon, the European car parts maker controlled by Wilbur Ross, the US billionaire investor, were preparing to go into administration on Monday as it became the latest victim of a downturn in European car sales.

The move came as Wagon’s banks, led by Royal Bank of Scotland, declined to back an emergency funding package following a suspension of shares in the company in October.
