Shortage of cash for training criticised

A shortage of cash for training places is thwarting attempts by employers to combat the recession, the Association of Learning Providers said on Tuesday.

Funding for Train to Gain, the government’s biggest skills programme, has run so low that many companies and public sector employers have been told they cannot use it until at least next April.
