EU set to clear Google-DoubleClick deal

European regulators are set to clear Google’s acquisition of online advertising firm DoubleClick, setting the stage for the search giant’s push into the broader online advertising market.

The proposed $3.1bn deal, which was approved by US anti-trust regulators late last year, has been the subject of a second-stage investigation by officials in Europe.
