Vikram Pandit on Tuesday pledged to carry out “an objective and dispassionate” review of all Citigroup’s businesses after being named chief executive of the struggling financial group.
Mr Pandit, previously head of all Citi’s institutional businesses, said he wanted to ensure the group was positioned for the future, prompting speculation that the review could lead to significant disposals. But Mr Pandit said it was too early for him to have come to any conclusions.
