Snow says Japan sets model for Europe

John Snow, US Treasury secretary, on Tuesday hailed Japan's economic reforms as an example for Europe, calling on EU leaders to match what he said was the commitment to good policy of Junichiro Koizumi's government.

Mr Snow, at the end of a two-day visit to Japan, said Tokyo had demonstrated that structural reforms could lead to stronger economic performance.
