French ban thwarts Hizbollah TV

At the Beirut headquarters of al-Manar, the satellite television station owned by Shia militant group Hizbollah, new studios are under construction as the station seeks to broaden its audience beyond the Middle East.

Hoping to attract Muslim societies in Europe and the US, Hizbollah's propaganda arm is already providing news bulletins in French and English. It has also been adding social and religious programmes that target younger audiences.
