Weak dollar weighs on Japanese stocks

Japanese stocks fell on Friday as a stronger yen hurt exporters and more problems emerged in the battered consumer lending industry.

The benchmark Nikkei 225 fell 0.6 per cent to 16,312.61 and broader Topix index lost 0.94 per cent to finish at 1,552.07.
