Ford builds its presence in Asia

Ford Motor unveiled plans on Friday to build a third assembly plant in China as part of a drive to expand its presence in Asia.

The $490m facility, located in Chongqing, is due to start production in 2012 with a capacity of 150,000 vehicles a year.
