SocGen: Mustier’s holiday reading spelled trouble

It was an article in the Financial Times in August 2007 that landed Jean-Pierre Mustier in trouble over allegations of insider dealing.

The then head of investment banking at Société Générale was on holiday in Scotland when he read a report in the newspaper about disruption in the US debt markets caused by liquidity problems.
