Airbus sketched out a brighter long term future for the aviation industry on Thursday, despite the current downturn and the slump in cargo and passenger traffic.
In its global market forecast the European aerospace company, part of the EADS group, predicted that manufacturers will deliver about 25,000 aircraft, worth $3,100bn, over the next 20 years, about 3 per cent ahead of its 2008 predictions.
