TRANSPORT American Airlines on Wednesday pledged to review its executive compensation strategy amid widespread employee discontent over plans that could see its top managers receive more than $70m in cash bonuses this year.
The loss-making carrier’s largest unions this week filed a grievance claim over pay-outs due under a plan agreed by the airline’s board in 2003 and tied to American’s stock performance through to the end of last year.
