Rapid economic growth in Asia and the Pacific is helping cut extreme income poverty but has had less impact in reducing widespread hunger and infant mortality, claims an Asian Development Bank report.

It also warns that the region’s least developed countries will likely miss the United Nation’s millennium development goals for 2015 unless they get external help.
