BAE Systems, Europe’s biggest defence manufacturer, said on Wednesday it was too early to estimate the financial cost of the Serious Fraud Office’s probe into allegations of overseas corruption by the company.

“At this stage, it is not possible to determine the possible future financial effects that might result from this matter,” BAE said in a trading update for the period from the start of July to mid-October.
