Only one bus comes into view for National Express

Wendy Cope famously compared “Bloody Men” to buses, complaining how as soon as one appeared, two or three others inevitably followed.

“You look at them flashing their indicators / Offering you a ride / You’re trying to read the destinations / You haven’t much time to decide,” she wrote, of men, buses and relationships.
