Tom’s of Maine hopes Colgate will add brightness

For Tom and Kate Chappell, running Tom’s of Maine natural oral care products has always been about a certain set of values since they founded the company in a railroad warehouse in 1970.

They codified these values into a creed they called the “Seven Intentions”, including ideas like “Connect with goodness”, “Venture out” and “Pass it on”.
