Why all the fuss?

Losing holding companies from the UK does not necessarily affect tax revenues or the willingness of businesses to invest in Britain, which are mostly driven by proximity to markets, infrastructure and the availability of skilled staff. But there is a risk that some jobs will shift to the holding company’s new location and the City will lose advisory work. The UK may also see a decline in influence and investment as decision-makers go elsewhere.
