For sheer terror, helping my teenage daughter learn to drive takes some beating. But one thing I’ve noted is the difficulty young “digital natives” seem to have in transferring their quickfire trial-and-error digital modes of operating to a real-world analogue skill, such as driving a car.

It has also reminded me of the mass of information an experienced driver is able to absorb and act upon while getting safely from A to B.
