Ladbrokes hit by punters’ success

Ladbrokes, one of the country’s largest bookmakers, saw profits slide by 34 per cent in the first four months of the year after a string of favourable results for punters in March, particularly from the Cheltenham Festival.

Hunt racing’s most popular event proved to be highly profitable for customers after favourite Kauto Star became the first horse to regain the Gold Cup at Cheltenham.
