MPs attack BBC commercial arm

A committee of MPs aimed heavy criticism at the BBC's commercial arm yesterday and suggested a series of radical measures to restrict its activities.

The culture, media and sport committee also said part of the BBC's licence fee should be given to Channel 4 to help it provide alternative public service programming to the state-owned broadcaster.
