BA plunges to record £401m loss

British Airways’ two top executives are to work for no pay in July as part of the airline’s drive to cut costs following the announcement of record losses.

BA said there would be no management bonuses, that it was planning to freeze basic pay and that it was offering all staff the option of unpaid leave and temporary or permanent part-time working for the first time since 2002 in the depth of the last recession.
