Sir, Simon Walker (“Pensions regulation will overstep the mark”, April 24) argues that the pensions regulator's powers are already sufficient and it should therefore be unnecessary to have any additional power to issue contribution notices where the disposal of significant company assets may seriously undermine the ability to meet the existing pension promises.
