Designers and jewels: Jewellers who break into fashion

If a fashion designer working for a big brand fancies adding high-quality jewellery to his or her portfolio, there is rarely a problem. The luxury group behind the label will have the necessary infrastructure. It may already own a high jewellery marque.

So if Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton or Frida Giannini at Gucci feels that precious jewellery under their name would benefit the company profile, they can get the back-up, including talented technical designers as collaborators.
