On April 30th, we wrongly reported that Betfair limited, the online wagering company, may in future be expected to pay a levy towards the funding of UK horseracing and gambling charities. In fact, Betfair already pays a statutory levy for UK horseracing and is one of the industry’s largest voluntary contributors to the funding of treatment for problem gambling. We are happy to set the record straight.
