Shaukat Aziz, Pakistan’s prime minister, on Monday pledged to intensify intelligence-sharing with the UK as part of the hunt for those behind the London bombings but warned against assumptions that the suicide bombers used their ties in Pakistan to plan the attacks.
“It would be simplistic to say that somebody who visits Pakistan would be prompted to do something like this,” said Mr Aziz in an FT interview. “There is no linkage of the visits to Pakistan and these terrible events which are very unfortunate.”
