Dogan in talks over tax fine

Executives from Dogan Yayin Holding were locked in talks with tax officials yesterday to settle a record TL4.8bn ($3.2bn) fine that threatens the future of Turkey’s biggest media group.

The case is viewed as a test of the government’s commitment to media freedom and a transparent investment climate.
