Boeing workers cheer watchdog

As news of the General Accountability Office's announcement filtered through to the 767 production line at Boeing's factory at Everett, near Seattle, on Wednesday afternoon, workers broke into cheers.

The 600 production and support staff may have been celebrating only the possibility of a stay of execution, but for Boeing the likelihood that the US Air Force will have to redo the bidding process for the aerial refuelling tanker feels like vindication.
