Brown bid to aid working parents

Moves to extend flexible working to all parents in Britain were unveiled by Gordon Brown on Tuesday in a move that could give more than 10m employees the right to request more family-friendly hours.

The plan was set out by Mr Brown as part of a drive to meet the demands of a more “aspirational Britain”, but faced claims that his Queen’s Speech legislative programme was stale or stolen from others.
