Radical overhaul water supply mangement needed

Radical reform of the way water supplies are managed is the only way to solve the world's water crisis, delegates at an international conference on water in Stockholm have been told this week.

Frank Rijsberman, director-general of the International Water Management Institute, said: "The last 50 years of water management practices are no model for the future when it comes to dealing with water scarcity."
