Air India turns to business leaders for help

India’s government is to call on the expertise of its top business leaders to rescue state-owned Air India, which is facing the most serious liquidity crisis in its history.

Praful Patel, India’s aviation minister, told the Financial Times on Thursday that he would appoint an independent board of business leaders to support the national flag carrier’s management.
