McCain gambles on inexperienced conservative

Sarah Palin’s reform credentials as John McCain’s vice-presidential running mate could allow Republicans to compete with the “change” agenda of his Democratic rival, Barack Obama.

It could also defuse Democratic attempts to portray Mr McCain as “more of the same” after eight years of the unpopular George W. Bush presidency.
